Since sealing a transfer from Empoli to Juventus in 2015, Daniele Rugani has never really managed to carve out a regular place in the starting line-up. The defender is now 28 years old and, at this point, it is unlikely that he will follow through on his initial promise.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato, Rugani is unhappy with not playing for Juventus and is considering proposals from two Serie A clubs.
This season, the central defender has only played two games in Serie A and another in the Champions League, and he continues to fall in the ranks of Max Allegri. Club captain Leonardo Bonucci and newcomers Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti are all ahead of him, while original full-backs Danilo and Alex Sandro have been pushed into the manager’s three-man defence.
Therefore, the source claims that Rugani is reflecting on the reported proposals from Sampdoria and Salernitana. The Blucerchiati are in desperate need of reinforcements after a disastrous first half of the season.
