Cristiano Ronaldo is not on Italian club Napoli’s radar in January as previously claimed, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The master of football transfer news tweeted tonight that the club are not looking to bring in Ronaldo during the upcoming transfer window.

The Italians’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, has today dismissed claims that the Napoli side are seeking to bring the Manchester United player to Italy.
He also stated that they will not sign any players, instead insisting that the current leader of Serie A “does not need to change anything in this team”.
Despite strong rumors circulating since the summer of interest in bringing Ronaldo back to Italy, the club have distanced themselves from the Old Trafford star.
Indeed, Napoli could offer the Portugal captain the opportunity to play in the Champions League once again.
And with United failing to qualify for this season’s campaign, it has been widely reported to be one of Ronaldo’s top priorities.
But United’s number seven stayed at Old Trafford, although his problems have been highlighted ever since.
With Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag having to handle his star player with care, Ronaldo hasn’t featured for the Red Devils as much as expected.
A mid-season move may placate the Portuguese regarding his ambition to continue playing at the highest level, but it seems that Napoli will not be the fate of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, as Giuntoli continued to back up his reasoning.
“We’re doing very well and we don’t have any signings planned, as of today,” he explained.
And with his team sitting pretty high up the table, and recording another impressive Champions League win tonight, distancing himself from Cristiano Ronaldo might well be justified.
