Meanwhile, it was not the first time that Ronaldo had left Old Trafford before the Man Utd match was over.
Ronaldo, along with several Man Utd players who were not in the matchday squad, left Old Trafford before their friendly match with Rayo Vallecano ended in July.
Ten Hag had warned his players at the time after he said in an interview that he does not approve of what the players had done.
Meanwhile, the latest development has sparked further suggestions that Man Utd and Ronaldo could part ways in the January transfer window.
The Portugal superstar sealed a sensational return to Man Utd in the summer of 2021. Despite Man Utd enduring a disappointing 21/22 season, Ronaldo scored 24 goals for the club in all competitions.
Despite the contributions of Man Utd. Man Utd failed to qualify for the Champions League after finishing sixth in the Premier League.
Ronaldo was linked with a move away from Manchester United in the summer transfer window. Reports said the Portuguese had asked Man Utd to allow him to leave if they received a suitable offer.
But the move never materialized, and Ronaldo ended up staying at Man Utd, where he is under contract until next year.
