Coady left fuming as Henderson asks to confirm Merseyside allegiances

Having spent his youth career at Liverpool and supporting the club as a child, Conor Coady traveled a path not many have traveled before when he joined Everton on loan at the start of the season and was asked the question on everyone’s lips by Jordan Henderson.

Speaking to England’s social media accounts, our captain said: “We’re all England here, but what I really want to know is are you blue or red?”

Although the St. Helens-born defender predictably declared his loyalties lay with the Goodison club, his comments read: “[Henderson] he knows deep down,” he suggested that he may feel like he has to say that he is now a blue.

It’s an interesting watch and while it was all lighthearted, it’s clear the former Wolves captain wasn’t happy about the question.
