Araujo was injured during the current international break. The 23-year-old suffered an injury during Uruguay’s friendly match against Iran.
According to the Spanish journalist Gerard Romero [Barca Universal], Barcelona and Araujo will make a decision on how to deal with the treatment soon. Surgery is said to be the ideal treatment method. However, with the 2022 FIFA World Cup kicking off in November, both Barcelona and Araujo are considering alternatives.
Whether they choose to have surgery or opt for a recovery method that does not include having surgery remains to be seen.
