Bayern Munich news: Club manager Hasan Salihamidzic has downplayed reports that they are planning a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Reports in the media have said that Bayern believe they can sign Kane next summer.
However, Salihamidzic has now insisted that Bayern are not working to sign Kane. Salihamidzic said there is nothing in the claims that they believe they can sign Kane next year.
“I don’t think Oliver Kahn [Bayern CEO] is pressing for a signature of [Kane]”, Salihamidzic told Philipp Kessler. “Everyone can step back there, there’s nothing to do.”

The Bavarians have played five matches in the 22/23 Bundesliga season and are undefeated so far. But they sit third in the league table.
Bayern started their 22/23 Bundesliga campaign by defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1. The defending champions then defeated Wolfsburg 2-0.
Bayern secured another big victory in their next game, inflicting a heavy 7-0 defeat on VfL Bochum. Since then, they have played two games and drew in both. They have 11 points from five games so far this season in the German top flight.
Tottenham’s performance in the 22/23 season
Tottenham Hotspur have had a good start to the 22/23 season. They started their Premier League campaign with a lopsided 4-1 win over Southampton.
Tottenham dropped points in their next match, drawing 2-2 with London rival Chelsea. Antonio Conte’s team had to come from behind twice to salvage a point at Stamford Bridge. Kane scored Tottenham’s second equalizer in the match.
Tottenham then hosted Wolves in their next game and defeated them 1-0. It was Kane who scored the winning goal against the Wolves.
Tottenham then met Nottingham Forest and secured a 2-0 win. Kane was once again the star of the London team, scoring a brace and giving his team three important points.
Tottenham faced West Ham in their next match but drew 1-1. Spurs then hosted Fulham and recorded a 2–1 win, with Kane scoring one of the goals.
Tottenham currently sit third in the Premier League points table with 14 points from six games. They are only behind Arsenal and Man City. Man City have also won 14 points, but they have a superior goal difference. Meanwhile, Arsenal have 15 points.
