Club could be forced to sell Premier League player to Leeds in January

West Ham will try to reach a deal with Harrison Ashby as interest in the right-back grows.

According to Six Foot Two, the 20-year-old’s agents will have talks with the Hammers and, failing a conclusion, the defender could be sold during the January transfer window.

Leeds, Newcastle, Preston North End and Celtic have been linked to Ashby, whose contract expires at the end of the season; therefore, if they are lost in January, one of the clubs can pick up the player next summer for free.

Ashby could be a good signing for one of the clubs mentioned above, as he is only 20 years old and has plenty of room for development. The defender is also versatile, since he can play both right back and central defender.

This is a situation that must be resolved soon as the clubs are attentive to developments.
