Cinkara knocked out Sands and is the new WBA-International champion – World Boxing Association

German Huseyin Cinkara became the new World Boxing Association (WBA) international cruiserweight champion after defeating Al Sands by technical knockout in the third round at the Friedrich-Hebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

The 37-year-old fighter imposed his strength against the American challenger and got an early victory to assert his local status and take the black and gold title.

Cinkara is on a hot streak and got his fifth consecutive knockout. He is now aiming for more opportunities within the 200-pound division.

The new regional champion already has 19 wins, 16 of them by knockout, and has not lost a fight in his professional career. Sands left his record at 22 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw and 19 knockouts.
