Christian Pulisic Admits ‘Anything Can Happen’ Amid Transfer Speculation

USMT and Chelsea international attacker Christian Pulisic has admitted “anything can happen” amid rumors linking him with a move to Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window.

Christian Pulisic returned to training with Chelsea after his 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign with USMNT ended in the round of 16. Pulisic had problems playing for Chelsea in the 22/23 season.

Christian Pulisic has appeared in 18 games for Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season, but has only started five games. The rest have been appearances from the bench. He has had 607 minutes of playing time for Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season.

So far, he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea and his limited play in the west London outfit has seen him linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Christian Pulisic, who returned to training with Chelsea, has insisted that he is focused and ready to finish the season. But the international USMNT also admitted that anything can happen.

“I mean, right now I am absolutely back at Chelsea, focused and ready to finish the season,” Christian Pulisic told the Indirect Podcast. “But you know how things work in football. Things change quickly and anything can happen.

“At the moment, I’m just pushing myself to train and work at Chelsea because that’s where I am now.”

If Pulisic decides to leave Chelsea, he probably won’t be short of suitors. Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal are monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic was a key player for USMNT at the World Cup in Qatar. Pulisic participated in all four games USMNT played in Qatar 2022 and was impressive for his nation. He scored a game-winner in their third Group B match against Iran and provided two assists for USMNT in Qatar 2022. He also won the MOTM award for his performance in the US’s goalless draw with England in Group B.

However, the USA failed to advance beyond the round of 16 in the last edition of the FIFA World Cup. They faced the Netherlands in the round of 16 and the European nation inflicted a 3-1 defeat on the USA to knock them out of the competition.
