Manchester United defeated Arsenal 3-1 at Old Trafford, a result that has now propelled them into fifth place in the Premier League, with 12 points.
Manager Erik ten Hag appears to have well and truly turned his fortunes around at Old Trafford after a dismal start that saw them lose their first two games.
One player who was central to United’s triumph against their bitter North London rivals was Christian Eriksen.
The Dane was immense in his performance tonight, combining well with Scott McTominay, with whom he formed a pivot in midfield.
Eriksen, who is making a name for himself in the Theater of Dreams for his ability to dictate games and manipulate tempo, was excellent again in his team’s victory.
The 30-year-old had a passing accuracy of 76%.
He made 11 passes in the final third for the Red Devils, the most of anyone else on the field.
The Dane completed three long balls, showing his excellent distribution and ability on the ball.
He made two key passes and had an assist for Marcus Rashford’s third goal with a brilliant counter-attack cut.

Beyond this, Eriksen was also overbearing in his defensive duties, returning several times to help all four of his defenders.
Eriksen is certainly showing why Ten Hag, like his predecessors, went to such lengths to persuade him to move to United.
It’s certainly a class act that fans are hoping will have a significant voice and contribute to some success at the end of the campaign.
