Christian Eriksen put on an incredible display in Denmark’s Nations League match against favorites France.
The underdogs pulled off a 2-0 upset, with Manchester United’s summer signing at the center of a heroic performance.
Eriksen had a remarkable 80 touches according to Statman Dave and certainly made the most of his time on the ball.
He has a 100% dribbling success rate, expertly retaining the ball despite facing an energetic French midfield that contained Real Madrid’s €130m pair Aurelian Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
Eriksen even achieved a passing success rate of 84%, despite his role as the Danish team’s creative center to get the ball forward.
That creativity saw him play eight key passes, creating a scoring opportunity approximately every eleven minutes.
He even got his boots dirty, with four duels won on deck as Denmark held on to a clean sheet against the reigning World Cup champions.

Before the match, France head coach Didier Deschamps praised the playmaker:
“There is an attacking player that even surprised me, and not only because of what happened that could have been dramatic for him, and obviously it is Christian Eriksen.
“But the ability he shows with his club in the position he plays, because he has always been someone who has remarkable technical ability.
“But playing so often for his club in midfield, to see the volume of games he plays, this ability to even bounce back is impressive. And he has always had the ability to score goals, to make other players score, he has always had that.”
He will surely be even more impressed after Eriksen’s fantastic performance yesterday.
Eriksen won Manchester United’s Player of the Month award for September and has become a key player at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag certainly hopes his form continues when the Red Devils take on Manchester City on Sunday.
