With this move, Philadelphia has a win-now mentality. It’s Super Bowl or bust. With them being the only undefeated team in the NFL, this comes across as a low-risk, high-reward trade.

General manager Howie Roseman continues to do that by making some really good moves.

The Eagles needed more pass rush help and Quinn can provide that. Quinn had 18.5 sacks last year for the Chicago Bears.

A coaching change for the Bears made Quinn nearly unusable in his specific scheme. Now it’s going to Philly which already has an elite defense, so the rich get richer.

Quinn is approaching 33 years old and doesn’t fit into the timeline of the young Chicago Bears. However, he fits into the Philadelphia Eagles timeline.

The NFC East has been very competitive this year, with the Dallas Cowboys being a solid team and the New York Giants exceeding expectations. The Eagles, sitting atop the division, add even more firepower down the defensive line.

They lost defensive end Derek Barnett in the first week and have missed him as the depth behind him hasn’t done the job.

Now the Eagles are pairing Robert Quinn with Josh Sweat, Hasson Reddick and veteran Brandon Graham. Not to mention, defensive tackles like Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave and rookie Jordan Davis are also on this charged defensive line.

This immediately increases the odds of the Eagles making the playoffs as they are -10000 at most offshore sportsbooks.

Whether Robert Quinn plays this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers remains to be seen, but nonetheless, the Eagles got a pass-rusher and definitely remain favorites in the NFC East.
