At the time of writing, Chelsea are still trying to finalize a deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. It has been the saga from hell that all the fans just want to end now, but Chelsea fans need it to end positively.
Because on top of this, it looks like Jorginho is going to join Arsenal right now and this will leave Chelsea too short in midfield for me, so they just have to get an Enzo, or someone else today. However, time is running out quickly as the deadline approaches.
Chelsea have options, of course, if Enzo doesn’t arrive. Charlie Webster just signed a new contract and he’s a class player. Andrey Santos is also looking to be a great prospect.
Quality players but inexperienced. We play on Friday night and if Jorginho goes the way things are, we won’t have a proper six to play. We need to do everything we can to win every game right now and I can never fall behind without replacing Jorginho.
There is time left on the deadline day to finish with Enzo and I still have some faith and I hope so. But let’s see how that plays out.
The bottom line is Chelsea allowing Jorginho to leave without Enzo being completely done is a huge risk and I hope it’s not one we regret.
