Chelsea are not currently working on a deal for the transfer of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to Fabrizio Romano in the Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.
The Belgium international has been one of the best for Leicester in his time in the Premier League and is set to become a free agent in the summer, so it makes sense that there will inevitably be a lot of speculation about his future in the coming months.
CaughtOffside understands that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Tielemans since the summer, although it remains to be seen whether they will definitely go ahead with a move for him, or still pick them amid interest in another midfielder, Danilo.
Still, at the moment it looks like the Gunners aren’t facing any competition from Chelsea for the Tielemans signing, which is sure to be welcome news for any Gooners hoping to end up signing the 25-year-old.
