Chelsea need to address goalkeeper situation – Talk Chelsea

Whatever happens in these next two transfer windows at Chelsea, it is very likely that they will need to sign at least one new goalkeeper in one of the windows.

Of course, Kepa Arrizabalaga is not going to settle for continuing as a substitute for Edouard Mendy. He seemed destined to leave in the summer, but for some reason that didn’t happen.

But he’s really going to have to look long and hard in the mirror right now and decide what’s the most important thing in his career, and if he wants to save it and prolong it, he really needs to leave Chelsea as soon as possible and I think. he will do it

Edouard Mendy has reportedly already turned down a new contract offer from Chelsea and furthermore his recent form has rightly been called into question. Many Chelsea fans have wondered if he is the man to continue as the Blues’ number one. I think he’s been a great shot-blocker, but the question marks have been with the ball at his feet.

Gabriel Slonina will arrive at Chelsea in January and looks more than ready to challenge the club. But listing him as number one right now wouldn’t be smart and to be honest unless we sell Kepa in January then I would send Slonina back on loan for the rest of the domestic season.

So Chelsea will almost certainly be looking for a new goalkeeper in the next two transfer windows, whether it be for the number one spot or the reserve spot, they will certainly need to dip into that market.

In fact, I think this will become a priority soon, but the problem is that so is the midfield, and so is the attack! There is a lot of work to be done at the club, not everything will happen overnight.
