Chelsea favourites to sign Youssoufa Moukoko as FC Barcelona ask him to wait for them – Man United News And Transfer News

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg has published an update on the condition of Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko this morning.

Social media fired up yesterday when Fabrizio Romano revealed that the prolific 18-year-old’s agent said the player is nowhere near a deal to keep him at Dortmund.

With his contract set to expire in June, the news is basically a “come get me” plea to Europe’s elite and it seems Dortmund may be forced to cash in on his prodigy.

Both United and Chelsea are known to be fighting for a striker in this window and it was also revealed today that Liverpool are in talks with the player dubbed ‘the new Haaland’.

However, Plettenburg believes that Chelsea is the leader in the race.

“#CFC and other major clubs ready to take the next step as soon as I decide to leave Dortmund as a free agent in the summer,” the journalist tweeted.

“The player will not accept the currently revealed offer!

“#MUFC scouted it out and oversaw it too but Chelsea is hotter!”

United’s spotlight may be on PSV’s Cody Gakpo, but given the circumstances, they cannot afford to let their rivals walk away with a deal for Moukoko unopposed.

Signing both players would be a fantastic statement for the Red Devils and could transform their chances of a top four finish and potentially a trophy this season.

According to Sport, Barcelona is also interested in the German but has no money. So they are asking you to terminate your contract so you can join them for free in June.

“Moukoko should ignore the approaches of the Premier League and the pressure from Dortmund to renew or leave in January and be able to make cash,” says the media.

“Blaugrana’s sports management is aware that it is a unique market opportunity, as well as the German’s sympathy for FC Barcelona.

“If he wants to play in the Catalan capital, he will have to make an effort and endure.”
