Chelsea could make some cash if players aren’t signing new deals – Talk Chelsea

Chelsea are spending a lot of money at the moment. After spending £250m in the summer on new first-team players, they are expected to be busy in January and again next summer, signing more new players to the market.

Of course, Chelsea’s new owners aren’t worried about money, but there’s also an emphasis on being wise going forward. And speaking of being wise, it could just be trying to get some money for players who aren’t signing new deals, if it’s determined that they won’t be extended or we don’t want to extend them.

The Daily Mail has a report published today mentioning that Newcastle have our midfielder Jorginho as their main target for January. Now, I’m not necessarily saying selling him to a rival, but we should certainly consider selling any player whose contract runs out next summer or in 2024, if they’ve made it clear they don’t want to stay, or Chelsea. they have made it clear that they will not extend their agreements.

If that’s the scenario, then why not try to get some money for them? Jorginho won’t be taking a huge fee in January, far from it. But every million helps.

We can replace Jorginho in the winter window as part of a midfield rebuild in the next two windows, and this rebuild is necessary. But I feel the same way about any player, if it’s clear they won’t spread then we should move them as soon as possible and ideally charge a small fee for them, as much as possible if that’s an option.

We need players now who are totally determined to be at Chelsea in the future, to build that collective unity.
