English Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly thinking of selling their Albanian striker Armando Broja for a fee of £30m.

Armando Broja began his football career at the Tottenham Hotspurs academy. He coached for two seasons at Spurs’ academy before joining the youth ranks of arch-rivals Chelsea.

Broja gradually rose through the ranks of Chelsea’s academy and was promoted to the main squad in 2020. However, he was soon loaned out to Dutch side Vitesse. Broja soon cemented his place in the starting eleven and scored ten goals for Vitesse in the Eredivisie.

After a successful loan spell with the Dutch club, the striker joined English Premier League side Southampton on a one-year loan deal. Throughout the season, the striker played exceptional football, scoring nine goals in 37 games.

The Chelsea striker could sign for AC Milan

After the successful loan deal, Broja returned to Chelsea at the start of this season. The striker had many offers from other teams but decided to extend his stay at Chelsea for another six years.

Broja has had a slow start to his Chelsea career. Chelsea signed Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick-Aubmeyang earlier in the season, which has limited Broja’s minutes. The Albanian has made thirteen appearances for Chelsea so far. Of these 13 matches, Broja started one. He has scored only one goal.

Now, according to a report from Calciomercato, Serie A giants AC Milan want to sign the midfielder in the upcoming January transfer window.

Milan is currently the defending Serie-A champion. They are off to a great start in their title defense. The Rossoneri have won eight of their first eleven games this season. With twenty-six points, they are currently in second place in the Serie-A table.

Now, the Milan management wants to reinforce its forward line-up in the next January transfer market. Hence, they look at Armando Broja, 21, who has shown his goalscoring ability.

The Rossoneri tried to sign the Albanian in the last transfer window. However, at the time, Chelsea were not interested in selling him. Things have now changed and the Blues are ready to sell him if AC Milan pays around £30m.

Chelsea signed Graham Potter after the end of the summer transfer window to replace their Champions League-winning manager Thomas Tuchel. Now with Potter, the Blues have turned their season around. They have qualified for the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea are in a good position to finish in the top four of the English Premier League.

The Blues will play Brighton in their next game.
