Casemiro names two reasons that prompted sensational Manchester United switch – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has revealed his reasons for moving from Real Madrid to Old Trafford this summer.

The Brazilian moved to the Theater of Dreams in a £70m deal and has quickly become a fan favourite.

The 30-year-old has made a real difference in midfield for United and is one of Erik ten Hag’s most important players.

Recently, a report indicated that veteran Real Madrid players were extremely angry when news broke that the midfielder was about to move to United.

His former teammate Toni Kroos at one point questioned Casemiro’s intentions to move to struggling United and the Premier League, suggesting money was the main motivator.

Casemiro has now responded to this and set the record straight on his transfer to United.

The player told club media that the Red Devils’ great stature and need for a new challenge convinced him that the 20-time English champions were the right fit for him.

He said: “I think the great position this club has in the game and its great history are definitely the most important reasons to be here. It’s also a new set of goals in a whole new league for me.”

“That represents a really big and exciting challenge for me and I am working very hard to achieve it together with my teammates.”

He added: “Well, at the end of the day, when you go to a club, you always want to get as many wins and trophies as you can, but I’m the type of person who takes things game by game.”

Casemiro urged that at this moment the most important thing is for the team to grow and position itself to be as competitive as possible.

He urged that for the team to be successful, it must employ its favored approach of taking things play-by-play and racking up wins along the way.
