Manchester United midfielder Casemiro lavished praise on teammate Marcus Rashford. The Brazilian midfielder was really surprised by the talent of the full-backs.

Casemiro joined Manchester United in the 2022 summer transfer window, and the Brazilian midfielder left Real Madrid for the Premier League side. Since then, he has established himself as a key player at Manchester United and has been impressive for the Old Trafford side.

Marcus Rashford has also been impressive for the Red Devils in the current 22/23 season. Enduring a rather disappointing and disappointing 21/22 season, the England international has already scored more goals this season than he managed all of last season.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Casemiro praised Marcus Rashford, who said he can be one of the five best players in the world.

“I’m going to be very honest with you. I was very surprised by the player that Rashford is. In my opinion, especially knowing the player off the pitch, I can tell you that if he’s doing well, he can be one of the five best players in the world,” Casemiro told ESPN Brasil after Manchester United secured a win by 1-0 over Wolves.

“He has an incredible way of hitting the ball, he has strength, he is fast, he is very intelligent playing. He was one of the players that really surprised me. Of course, when you play in a different league you already know the player, but when you are at the same club every day.

Meanwhile, it was Marcus Rashford who scored the winner as Manchester United added another three points by defeating Wolves. Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag had dropped Marcus Rashford from the starting XI against Wolves for disciplinary reasons.

But the England international came on as a substitute in the second half to score the only goal of the game. He even saw another goal disallowed by VAR when checking that he had touched the ball inside the area.

Speaking after the match, Marcus Rashford also explained why Erik ten Hag dropped him, revealing that he was late for a team meeting after he “overslept”.
