In Neymar’s absence due to injury, Casemiro came on as a substitute for Brazil against Switzerland in a Group G match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Manchester United midfielder scored the only goal of the match as Brazil defeated Switzerland 1-0 .
Casemiro scored a great goal in the 83rd minute of the game, with a fine half volley. The ball deflected slightly from a Switzerland defender on its way to the net, but it was a sensational goal.
