Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has suggested that the Reds’ centre-back pairing, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, were ‘disorderly’ in Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Wolves.
Jurgen Klopp’s side found themselves 2-0 down after just 12 minutes before conceding a third in the second half and the two defenders had a difficult night throughout.
Taking to Twitter during the match, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher expressed his opinion of the Liverpool duo’s performance.
“It’s not too hard to play center back alongside the leading back four, judging the CBs when they have to lead themselves,” the Sky Sorts pundit wrote. “Shambolic,” Carragher finished.
It is not very difficult to play central defense next to the leader of the back four, he judges the CB when they have to lead themselves.
