Carragher names one Liverpool man in current top three PL players

Liverpool aren’t enjoying the best start to this campaign, but it hasn’t changed Jamie Carragher’s opinion that the Reds have one of the top three players in the Premier League at the moment.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, the 44-year-old said: “Kevin De Bruyne has been the best player in the league for the last four or five years, you have to say Haaland now, he is an absolute global superstar.

“And, despite his form this season, I’m still going to say Virgil van Dijk. I think he’s been absolutely incredible over the last four or five years and has transformed Liverpool from where he was when he arrived and where he’s been in recent years.”

We’ve only played eight games this season and that’s not enough time to turn a team of proven winners into bad players.
