Fabio Capello has compared the Italian Serie A and the French Ligue 1 and believes that the French have better competition.
Serie A is one of the top five leagues in Europe and Juventus have helped put them on the European map by consistently doing well in the Champions League.
The Bianconeri, Inter Milan and AC Milan have done well domestically and in Europe, but that doesn’t mean Serie A is better than Ligue 1, according to Capello.
He said via Tuttomercatoweb:
“The French championship is much more competitive and faster than Serie A. In Italy, too much whistling and the rhythms are bland, fortunately the tiki-taka has been lost in favor of a more direct football, we have to wait for that and for them to emerge new talents. it will be born, because after the victory in the Europeans we lost ourselves”.
Juve FC says
The Italian top flight is one of the best in Europe and certainly has some aspects in which it is better than Ligue 1.
PSG have had an easy run in the French top flight in recent seasons, but Juve are struggling to regain the league title due to the quality of other competitors.
Capello has his opinion, but it cannot be the truth about both competitions.
Serie A organizers just need to focus on improving the quality of their product.
