Cambiaso set to replace Cuadrado and Sandro at Juventus next season

After a great campaign in Genoa, Juventus swooped in to secure the services of Andrea Cambiaso last summer. Nonetheless, the young fullback was immediately sent to Bologna to gain additional Serie A experience.

According to Sky Sport via TuttoJuve, the bianconeri have been impressed with the 22-year-old’s performances for the Emilian club. Thus, a hole will be made in the Juve squad for the next season.

The source adds that both Juan Cuadrado and Alex Sandro will leave Turin after eight years of service once their contracts expire at the end of this campaign. Therefore, Juventus will definitely require new additions to the full-back department, and the return of Cambiaso would boost the numbers.

The Italian has two assists to his name in 13 Serie A appearances so far this season. Although he is originally a left back, he can also appear on the right flank.

Juve FC says

Slowly but surely, Juventus have adopted a new policy that has allowed young players to express themselves in the first team. Therefore, Cambiaso should naturally fit into the youth movement.

The Italian’s return won’t be enough for a department in desperate need of a revamp, though, as one or two more prolific additions will be needed for next season.
