Wind joined Wolfsburg from FC Copenhagen for £10m to replace Wout Weghorst in the winter transfer window. The striker has scored five goals in 16 games for the Bundesliga club.

The 23-year-old has also scored five goals in his 15 appearances for the Denmark national team. At the end of this year, he is scheduled to participate in the World Cup in Qatar. Denmark has been drawn into Group D with champions France, Australia and Tunisia.

In an interview with Bulinews.com, he talked about his World Cup draw, saying, “I think our draw is fine. France is one of the best national teams in the world, of course, but we have shown in the past that we can beat them. Tunisia and Australia are teams we should be able to win against, so I think we should have a good chance of advancing from the group stage, and then we’ll see what happens from there.”

He also added about his chance to appear in the World Cup squad after his comeback: “I’m sure I’ll recover from my injury in time for the World Cup, and it would be a dream come true for me to be called up.”

In this interview, he also revealed his “favorite club”, Arsenal. He would like to play for them in the future. The striker added in his interview: “If we look to the future, Arsenal would be a dream destination for me as it has always been my favorite club. Overall, I think the Premier League is the best league in the world and it would be exciting to play there.”

But the Wolfsburg striker is currently out injured and focused on making a big comeback from his hamstring injury. It has been a difficult start to the season for him. He spoke about his time at the German club: “I’m fine here at Wolfsburg, it’s a good club for me and the Bundesliga is a great league to play in”.

The Gunners have spent £45m on Gabriel Jesus this summer but want to add a new striker. So a lot of players are under Arsenal’s radar.

J. Wind is around 6’3″ tall and is a strong striker from the air. He can offer the Gunners a pure Number 9 role. Aside from this, he can link up with other forwards to provide passes. He sometimes prefers a free role and also plays as an attacking midfielder if the situation calls for it.

Wind needs to get back to his game in great shape so he can make his dream move to his dream club.
