Bruno Fernandes orchestrates Manchester United’s dominant win against Burnley – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United won their first competitive game after the World Cup break against Burnley.

United won by two goals. A brilliant first-half shot from Christian Eriksen who finished off a low cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and a magical goal from Marcus Rashford in the second half.

Rashford embarked on a brilliant run before shaking off two Burnley defenders and firing a powerful low shot into the bottom left corner of the Clarets goal.

While players like Rashford and Casemiro will take the rounds, another one who deserves praise is Bruno Fernandes.

After enjoying a super individual tournament with Portugal before being knocked out by Morocco, Fernandes looks set to extend his good form at the World Cup.

The Portuguese started in his favorite role of playmaker from where he was able to control the proceedings alongside Christian Eriksen.

Fernandes, who returned to captain the team in the absence of Harry Maguire, registered 61 touches of the ball.

The 28-year-old successfully delivered 36 of the 50 passes he attempted, posting a decent passing accuracy of 72%.

Fernandes made an astonishing five key passes, in what was a masterclass of plays from him.

The player made a successful cross and hit two of the five long balls he attempted.

Fernandes also created a great chance and completed 100% of his dribbles in the win against Vincent Kompany’s players.

United’s number eight also excelled defensively. He won five of the six running games he went deep in and also made two tackles.

Unfortunately, both the team and the fans will not be able to count on the services of Fernandes in the quarterfinals. As he saw the yellow card, he will miss the team’s next game in the competition.

Without a doubt, he is destined to be a great young lady.
