For me personally, Armando Broja starting at Chelsea is two or three games late.
However, there are arguments that due to the fact that he recently got injured and hasn’t trained as much, maybe he wasn’t ready for the match. I am willing to take that into account. But for me now, there is no excuse not to start on Tuesday night when Chelsea kick off their Champions League campaign for 2022-23.
The Blues travel to Croatia to take on Dinamo Zagreb and while there is never an easy game in Europe, Broja should start this one anyway. For me, Broja is our best current attacker besides Raheem Sterling, based on his form this season.
Even in the cameos he’s made, he seems like a real threat and brings something that none of our other attackers have, the physicality and presence of a true number nine.
He is hungry and eager and will be a real problem for any defender. Given half the chance to score and he’ll take it. I think he deserves to get the nod on Tuesday night.
His recent comments this week as well, just prove he has the right attitude and mindset to succeed here at Chelsea, and I think he deserves to be rewarded with some faith shown in him now with a string of starts.
“The [Aubameyang] he is a great player,” the Albanian international told reporters after Saturday’s win against West Ham, quoted by The Evening Standard.
“He has done a lot in his career so far and now that he has come to Chelsea I can learn a lot from him. He has done it at Arsenal and at Barcelona, so he is a good addition to the club and the team and he seems like a very good guy.
I am excited to learn from him and some things he has learned. It’s good to have that competition on the team.”

This is exactly what you want to hear from Broja right now and there are very good signs for her future with us.
