Man Utd news: Brandon Williams has named the best player he’s ever played with, and it’s not his Red Devils teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Williams is a Man Utd academy graduate who has made 50 appearances so far for the club’s senior squad. The 22-year-old made his Man Utd senior team debut in September 2019.
Williams appeared in 36 games for Man Utd in the 2019/20 season and made 14 appearances in the 2020/21 season. He spent the 21/22 season at Norwich City, on loan from Man Utd. During his time in the Canary Islands, Williams played 29 games for the club.
After his one-season stint at Norwich, Williams has returned to Man Utd but has not made any appearances for the Red Devils this season.

Williams took the name of his former teammate Juan Mata when asked to name the best player he has ever played with.
Williams praised Mata, describing him as “a wizard on the ball.” The young left back also praised Mata’s behavior off the pitch.
“I would probably say Juan Mata because he is a magician on the ball,” Williams told GOAL. “He takes control of games the way he plays.”
He added: “He’s also a good guy off the court, he talks to us and helps us.”
Meanwhile, Mata was a Man Utd player for eight and a half seasons. The Spaniard joined Man Utd from Chelsea in January 2014.
Mata made 285 appearances for Man Utd during his time with the Old Trafford team. He also scored 51 goals for the club during that period.
Mata also won the Europa League, FA Cup, FA Community Shield and EFL Cup once each during his time at Man Utd.
Mata left Man Utd at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract with the Premier League side. He joined Galatasaray SK earlier this month on a free transfer. Mata has signed a one-year contract with the Turkish team, with an option for another year.
Meanwhile, Man Utd sit fifth in the Premier League points table with 12 points from their opening six matches. The Red Devils had lost their first two games in the 22/23 PL season, but have won all four games they have played since in the English top flight.
