BKFC 30: Lorenzo Hunt vs. Quentin Henry is set for Oct. 1st

Philadelphia, PA – Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), the fastest growing combat sports promotion in the world, announced an action-packed fight card for BKFC 30 this Saturday, October 1 at the Fant Ewing Coliseum in Monroe, LA, and will stream globally as part of the BKFC+ subscription for $4.99 a month on the new BKFC app.

Co-Feature BKFC 30 is a heavyweight battle between former UFC star and BKFC newcomer ‘Big Ben’ Rothwell of Milwaukee, WI, and BKFC veteran Bobo ‘The Bible Belt Brawler’ O’Bannon, (3 -3, 3 KOs), of Mobile, Alabama.

BKFC-30 is headlined by the unmissable battle for the vacant BKFC Cruiserweight World Championship between Lorenzo ‘The Juggernaut’ Hunt, (7-1) of St. Augustine, FL, and local favorite Quentin ‘The Hero’ Henry, ( 5-1). (Hunt is also the current BKFC Light Heavyweight World Champion, though that title won’t be on the line against Henry.)

Remaining tickets for BKFC-30 can be purchased online at BKFC.com. The Fant Ewing Coliseum is located on the campus of the University of Louisiana-Monroe, 4099 Northeast Dr., Monroe, LA 71203. Doors open the night of the event at 7:00 p.m.

Coming off an impressive 13-year career in the UFC, the popular Rothwell (39-14-1 in MMA) will make his long-awaited bare-knuckle debut after signing with BKFC earlier this year. Top contenders Rothwell defeated in the UFC include; Josh Barnett, Matt Mitrone, Alistair Overeem, Brandon Vera and Brendan Schaub, winning Performance of the Night twice and Knockout of the Night once.

Winner of two of his last three starts, the hard-hitting O’Bannon looks to return to the win column following a hard-fought battle with Alan Belcher on January 29, 2022 at BKFC Fight Night Jackson.

Brandon ‘The Shredder’ Shavers of Alexandria, LA, also appearing on the undercard and making his BKFC debut in the welterweight division, will take on Aaron ‘The Joker’ Sutterfield of Texas.

In the light heavyweight division and making his BKFC debut, Mississippi’s Dennis Labruzza takes on Avery ‘The Nuke’ Duke Sensley of New Orleans, LA. Labruzza scored two knockouts fighting in the Gamebred Fighting Championship (bare fist) in 2021.

Also, in the light heavyweight division, Tony ‘The Way’ Jenkins of Baton Rouge, LA will make his BKFC debut against Ravon ‘Big Shot’ Baxter of Dayton, Ohio (1-0). Baxter returns to the ring after earning a decision win over Leonel Carrera at BKFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale on April 21, 2022.

Fighting in the middleweight division, Mississippi’s Harris ‘Sandman’ Stephenson (4-2, 2 KOs) collides with Kaleb ‘Lionheart’ Harris, (4-4), also of Mississippi. Harris, who moved up from welterweight, is looking for a comeback victory after losing a gritty battle against Elvin Brito on Jan. 29, 2022 at BKFC Fight Night Jackson.

Rounding out the main card, Juan Torres (0-2), of Cypress, TX, takes on fan favorite Zach Calmus (1-1), of Gloucester, MA. Calmus turns to his third BKFC fight after defeating Kyle McElroy on March 12, 2022 at BKFC Fight Night New York 2.

In the preliminary portion of BKFC-30, the middleweights will see action when professional boxer and local favorite Anthony Blake LaCaze makes his BKFC debut against veteran Noah Cutter, (1-4), of Defuniak Springs, FL.

The featherweights will also hit the ring in the preliminaries with BKFC debutants David ‘The Boss’ Bosnick of Alexandria, LA taking on Loren ‘Gator’ Thibodeaux of Louisiana.
