Retired Italian footballer Beppe Accardi has commented on the impact of Paul Pogba and Angel di Maria’s absence from the Juventus squad.
Both players joined the club as free agents earlier this season.
They were expected to help the team improve their performance in the last period.
However, Pogba has been out injured since pre-season, while Di Maria is in and out of the squad due to many health problems.
His absence is one of the reasons why the club is underperforming but now has other outstanding players in its ranks.
Speaking of the impact they could have had, Accardi said via Tuttomercatoweb:
“Surely I would have taken advantage of having two champions on the field. When the most important players are lost, finding alternatives becomes more complicated. It should be considered that in recent years Juventus has lost the players who kept the shack standing. The problem of this year’s team is the lack of patience of the environment, which is unable to accept this situation”.

Pogba and Di María are two players who will make us stronger if they play regularly.
However, injuries are part of football and we have other important players who should serve in his absence.
It doesn’t make much sense to rely on them for our best performances because the team is bigger than its individual players.
