BENSON-HENDERSON: NO. 3-RATED BELLATOR LIGHTWEIGHT:

“These are the last four fights of my career. Give everything I have, the best I have. After that, I’m done, and then it’s my wife’s turn. She give him the opportunity to be world champion. I’ll pick up the kids from school, take them to chess practice, prepare meals; I will do all those things. It puts a lot more pressure: for the rest of my life, I have four left. I think it adds more pressure, but I always add more pressure to myself to get the most out of myself.”

“Peter is tough. He is a veteran. He is a tough guy, and I think he is going to be a good fight. He’s going to come in and try to hit me, and I’m going to try to hit him. I’m going to do what I’m going to do.”

“I want to give the Irish fans a better show. I felt, after the jury fight, a bit mediocre. I felt like it wasn’t my best performance, and I think a fighter like Peter Queally will bring out the best in me. I’m bringing the whole family this time, and we’re going to explore Dublin and all of Ireland and do some sightseeing.”

“The Irish fans were amazing. A great experience, great atmosphere, great energy from the crowd. I like to think of us more like athletes, but I’m realistic: we’re also artists. And as an artist, being in that environment, it’s electrifying. That’s it. Overall the whole experience in Dublin has been amazing. I usually have a good experience, but the last time I was in Dublin it was something else. The crowd was incredible. The ‘Sweet Carolina;’ It’s great to see a crowd so excited for a fight.”

“Coming out of a loss is not a good feeling. I’m much more excited after a loss, and I feel like he’s going to be the same way.”

“It’s up to you guys. You are the journalists who put everything to scale. He left it to you. After I raise my hand against Peter Queally, I’m going to beat up Pitbull in a soccer stadium in Brazil, or I’m going to fight a Russian, and let’s do it in a soccer stadium. But I’m going to end up with a BELLATOR title wrapped around my waist. What I can control is what is inside the cage. You can say what you want to say; people say this about Derek Jeter… yada yada. You can write about it for years, but for athletes, we only care about being the best we can be.”

“I tend to give a lot of respect to the crowd. People from all over the world tune in to me, but I always try to do my best to turn around and have a lot of respect for the guys who come out, spend their hard-earned money and come to live fights. Is special.
