Ben Doak impressed many Liverpool fans with a 16-minute cameo appearance at Anfield in the League Cup and understandably one of the biggest fans of his performance was his mother.
On her Twitter account, the hairstylist and color technician wrote: “Absolutely so proud to see my son make his senior debut ???????????????? @LFC #bendoak.”
As with any young player, it’s important not to pile too much pressure on them by raising the level of expectation on them, but the 16-year-old was impressive against Derby County.

Making his debut for the Reds will always be a day any player will remember, but add the level of performance shown by the Scotsman and he will surely remember it forever.
The former Celtic attacker will be looking to feature in the next round of the Carabao Cup now that our progression has been confirmed and will have several long-term goals to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side.
For now though, it is a return to the academy setup and hard work that has given him a chance to shine with the first team.
However, one thing is for sure: you will receive a lot of praise and support from your family as you work your way up the ladder.
