‘Been told’ – Sky Sports reporter now weighs in on 24-year-old ‘talks’ amid Liverpool transfer links

Liverpool have been told that Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is “unlikely” to leave Stamford Bridge as soon as the winter window.

This update comes courtesy of Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg on Twitter with the possibility that a post-World Cup exit may not be impossible.

The 24-year-old previously obtained links to Anfield, most recently by the Daily Mail (via Caught Offside), although speculation connecting the two has largely died down of late, understandably, given that it is said that the Reds are prioritizing additions to the midfield park.

It’s worth noting that the former Borussia Dortmund star is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, not to mention the attacking line.

With less than two years remaining on his contract, it’s certainly possible that we could broker a good deal for the US international in the summer window.

That’s assuming, of course, that there are funds left over from our efforts to potentially replace three departing midfielders in 2023.

Never say never, but Pulisic’s name won’t be very high on Liverpool’s shortlist.
