BBC’s World Cup closing montage captures greatest moments

One of the ways that the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) sets itself apart from other broadcasters around the world is its commitment to quality. For example, the final montage of the BBC World Cup is four minutes and forty-four seconds of beauty. It sums up many of the most memorable moments from Qatar 2022. But it’s more than just a highlight video. It is a perfectly produced masterpiece that combines image and sound to convey an important message.

Sure, there’s a lot of football in the video. But the soundtrack speaks to a message that love conquers all. Even in a country like Qatar where human freedoms are restricted, the song gives us hope that the power of love can cause change.

Delusions? Maybe. But the message is loud and clear. This was a fantastic World Cup tournament where the power of love rose above all the problems encountered in Qatar.

The Power of Love is a number one song performed by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, the British band most famous for their worldwide hits Relax and Two Tribes.

Closer to home, ESPN did a closing montage for its coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament that took place in Brazil.

Sky Full of Stars was the song of that tournament, as ESPN relived the excitement of the tournament, as well as the highlights of Brazil 2014, including some of the world soccer stars’ hits.

As far as we know, FOX Sports did not have a closing montage for the World Cup.
