BBC pundit thinks Leeds star faces wait to enter the starting line-up

BBC man Matt Kilgallon believes Liam Cooper faces a long spell at the bench after signing Max Wober.

Cooper’s last game for the Yorkshire club was under former manager Jesse Marsch and new boss Javi Gracia seems to prefer the duo of Koch and Wober in the middle of defence.

“It’s normal, you’re at a big club, you’re at a Premier League club, there’s competition,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.

“Coops has been there when it’s his position. I’m afraid it is so. He knows it, he is an experienced player, he has been there. He knows the crack, he knows that when he returns, he will have to bide his time. That is sure.

“If you ask him, he’ll probably say, yeah, Wober came in and he did great. He knows that he will not go back inside. I’m afraid that’s not how it works. He has to bide his time now, stay in shape. And when he changes, he changes.
