BBC pundit suggests Salah not being managed correctly and has warning

Pat Nevin has expressed concern about the number of games Mo Salah is forced to play in his domestic and international commitments.

The Egyptian king has fallen short of his goalscoring exploits from the first half of the previous campaign, registering just three attempts in eight appearances (in all competitions).

“I always worry about players like Salah. He never gets a break, he plays during the summers, a lot of games every year and he’s just human. He is normal, he is a guy,” the BBC pundit told OTB Sports on The Football Show.

“It’s going to finish him off at some point. And there have been games that you have seen Salah and as brilliant as he is, it seems that he is gone. That’s not me killing him, that’s me saying the guy needs to be handled properly.

“And I think that’s the case for a number of the players.

“That is the modern game. It may well be that footballers no longer play 700, 800 or 900 games.
