BBC pundit says ‘brilliant’ Liverpool ace did something ‘absolute world-class’ in second-half v Rangers

There was much to admire from Liverpool’s 7-1 victory over Rangers in the Champions League, as the Reds moved one step closer to reaching the round of 16.

Bobby Firmino, in particular, was vital in leading a phenomenal second-half charge that racked up six goals (two of which came in direct handball).

However, it was his assistance to Darwin Núñez that caught the attention of Jonathan Woodgate.

“You know when you talk about world class? Well, that touch from Bobby Firmino was absolute world class. It’s a brilliant assist,” the former Leeds United player told BBC Radio 5 Live (via BBC Sport). “Fair play also for Darwin Núñez, it’s a great ending.”

The question now for Jurgen Klopp is how to set up his forward line-up for a clash with Manchester City after a trio of the Brazilian international, our number 27 and Mo Salah each contributed three goals.

With our potentially record signing scoring a goal too (his second in as many games), there will be some reluctance to break that streak.

However, it would seem somewhat harsh to deny any other attackers a place in the starting line-up given the impact they had at Ibrox.

However, it is exactly the sort of national team headache the German tactician will revel in, having been forced down by a series of injuries since the start of the campaign.
