Spanish giants Barcelona have joined the race for Manchester United midfield target Youri Tielemans.
Along with Barcelona, Real Madrid are also known suitors for the Belgian, whose contract with Leicester expires at the end of the season, making him a free agent.
The news of the Blaugrana interest is according to Football Transfers, who report that Xavi would be interested in Tielemans. This would complicate United’s search for the player.
Transfers informs that “Barça is willing to take measures to obtain the services of Youri Tielemans. The Belgian international also delights Real Madrid, so a Clasico is not ruled out for the former Anderlecht and AS Monaco player”.

The Blaugrana’s interest in Tielemans comes shortly after club director Mateu Alemany commented that the club would prioritize free agents in the market.
Tielemans is currently enduring a nightmarish season with the Foxes.
His team is last in the Premier League with just one win and seven losses from nine games.
The 25-year-old has contributed a goal and an assist in 675 minutes of football this season.
If any of the Spanish giants are successful in their efforts to tie Tielemans up and tempt him from England, the player would represent another missed opportunity for the Red Devils.
If indeed the midfielder is a particular target and is wanted by both club bosses and Erik ten Hag, then United should move quickly to bring him to Old Trafford.
