Beterbiev: “You never know how the fight goes”
In preparation for fight night, Top Rank on ESPN released a documentary titled Beterbiev vs. Smith: A story of ten hits. In the video, both the fighters and several boxing journalists delve into past fights of the two boxers. Towards the end of the documentary, the two express their thoughts on how to confront each other.
“You never know how you do in the fight.”said the Russian-born Canadian. “It’s always different.“
“Don’t think he has fought with someone like me.”said Smith. “I mean, I haven’t fought anyone like him.“
From the looks of it, the two seem to appreciate each other’s achievements and abilities. When they meet in the ring, it will mark the end of a long wait. Originally scheduled for August 19, the fight was postponed due to dental surgery that Beterbiev have done.
Big fight weekend prediction
Although Smith is a former super middleweight world champion and has had two brutal knockout wins since moving up. We believe that he will be no match for Beterbiev. The former Olympian will have too much power and will eventually overwhelm Liverpool. We predict a knockout victory for the unified champion sometime before the 10th round.
