Leeds United missed a penalty and had a goal disallowed

Leeds United thought they had restored parity when Patrick Bamford put the ball into the back of the net from close range. But the goal was disallowed after the referee ruled that Bamford fouled Gabriel Magalhaes just before he shot on goal.

Leeds United later won a penalty after William Saliba touched the ball inside the area. After looking at the monitor following the advice of the VAR, the referee sanctioned a penalty against Leeds United.

Bamford stepped forward to take the kick, but his shot went wide of the arc and Arsenal breathed a sigh of relief.

Leeds United thought they had won another penalty when the referee signaled the penalty spot and showed Magalhaes a red card after he apparently kicked Bamford. However, following a VAR review, the referee overturned the decision, ruling that Bamford fouled Magalhaes before the Brazilian kicked him.
