Arsenal have seen a bid rejected for Mykhaylo Mudryk

Arsenal have had an offer for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk turned down, but negotiations for the Ukrainian are expected to continue.

Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed to CaughtOffside via his Substack column that Arsenal had made an offer of up to €60m for Mudryk. However, the transfer journalist expected Shakhtar to reject the offer.

As Arsenal look to improve their attacking options due to the injury to Gabriel Jesus, Romano has now provided an update on Arsenal’s search for Mudryk.

Romano has confirmed that Arsenal’s offer had been rejected, but they seem willing to continue negotiations to get their man.

On paper, Arsenal have one of the most threatening and impressive starting eleven in the Premier League. However, their squad depth could be a problem for them heading into the new year, with multiple cup and European competitions to contend with.

Arsenal have no natural replacement at left-back for Gabriel Martinelli, so an injury to the Brazilian could be costly, which could explain their interest in Mudryk.
