Arsenal and Liverpool told to pay £62m to sign Palmeiras youngster Endrick

Arsenal and Liverpool have been told to pay a whopping £62m to sign youngster Endrick from Palmeiras.

Endrick is a talented youngster who comes through the ranks of Brazilian side Palmeiras. Only 16 years old, Endrick cannot join a club in Europe as he is, as EU rules state that he is only allowed to move to the continent when he turns 18.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Palmeiras will allow Endrick to leave the club when he can, as long as they reach the asking price, which is currently £62m.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola recently claimed that Arsenal and Tottenham were interested in the youngster, with BBC Sport also reporting that Liverpool and Manchester City were among the clubs following his progress.

Clubs will have to move fast with some of Europe’s elite teams sniffing him out, but the price tag could put them off.

£62m for a player who is still only 16 years old and unproven in a top league is a huge risk, and some clubs won’t be willing to take it.
