Antony says he has learned a lot from Cristiano Ronaldo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United winger Antony has revealed that he speaks regularly with Cristiano Ronaldo and is learning a lot from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking exclusively to the club media after United’s defeat against Real Sociedad, Antony hailed Ronaldo as the best in the world and said he relishes the opportunity to work with him.

The Brazilian said: “I have come to help my teammates.”

“Regardless of age, there is immense talent in every player.”

About Ronaldo, the 22-year-old said: “Words cannot describe Cristiano, the best in the world.”

“In just a few days, I have learned a lot from him. He has an extraordinary mind, and every time I talk to him, I get a lot out of it.”

Antony commented that United’s attack was very strong and showed great promise not only for the present but also for the future.

The former Ajax star was asked about his unique and entertaining style of play. He replied, “I’ve always done this.”

“Not just here but for all the teams I’ve played for. I have been doing it since I was a child. I have always done it, it is one of my characteristics”.

He promised to keep doing the same and incorporate his tricks into his adaptation to the Premier League and the Red Devils’ way of playing.

With the weekend’s game postponed as a show of respect to Her Majesty The Queen, Antonio hopes to use this time in training camp to integrate more with his new club and build rapport with his team-mates.

Certainly, his start at Old Trafford was nothing short of a fairy tale, where he scored a superb goal against Arsenal. The fans will expect him to continue like this.
