Another big Premier League match could be postponed

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested his team’s trip to Arsenal could be postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Arsenal’s Europa League match was postponed due to a lack of available police officers. The police force is expected to be busy with the Queen’s funeral.

Arsenal vs PSV could therefore be scheduled for October 19, the day Arsenal and Man City were supposed to meet.

Now the Arsenal vs Man City match could be played next year due to schedule congestion.

“The Premier League has the ability to find space for matches,” Guardiola said.

“Maybe the Tottenham game will be in February or March because now I think it’s not possible. We will find a way.

“There is Carabao Cup, FA Cups at the moment, but we will find a way, we are going to play this game postponed, it is not a problem.

“The matches were always so tight every season.

“Now it’s different because we stop, not the players, but the backroom staff who will stop and have a break in the winter, as it usually is in Germany.”
