Andy Ruiz Jr Isn’t “slick Enough To Avoid” Getting Punched By Deontay Wilder Says Tyson Fury

By Sam Volz: Tyson Fury believes everything favors him and Deontay Wilder reuniting next year for a fourth fight after defeating Andy Ruiz Jr in the final eliminator for the WBC heavyweight title.

As Fury points out, it’s going to be almost impossible for Ruiz to avoid being cut by one of Wilder’s big right hands.

Ruiz, easy to hit, would need to avoid being hit by Wilder for 12 rounds, and Fury doesn’t see that as possible, particularly with the way Luis Ortiz, 43, hit him repeatedly last weekend.

Ruiz’s face was altered afterward, making him look more like the loser than the winner.

Former WBC champion Wilder (42-2-1, 39 KOs) has yet to defeat Robert Helenius on October 15 next month, but that shouldn’t be a problem for him given how good he looks in training. .

Wilder is down to the fighter who gave Fury pure hell in their first fight back in 2018, and he looks faster with the same speed and power he had in his prime.

If Wilder defeats Helenius (31-3, 20 KOs), he will then meet Ruiz (35-2, 22 KOs) for the WBC title eliminator.

Following Ruiz’s victory over Luis Ortiz last Sunday night, Wilder entered the ring in what was a clear signal to boxing fans at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles that he will be next, provided he gets past the dangerous striker Helenius.

“Well, considering the fact that I don’t like Wilder and I like Andy, with all my heart I wish Andy would beat him up,” Tyson Fury told RingTV of a possible fight between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. However, Wilder is a A dangerous man and I don’t think Ruiz is smart enough to avoid a punch in 12 rounds.”

“Wilder will always land all these heavyweights, especially the heavyweights, just like he did Ortiz and everyone else. It took Joshua seven rounds to beat Dominic Breazeale. More wild? He took a hit,” Fury said.

“He has to land on Wilder first. If he can do that, he can win the fight,” Teddy Atlas said on The Fight about his opinion that Ruiz could beat Wilder if he landed first.

“Wilder just knows how to hit with his right hand. He does a lot of things wrong.”

Ortiz had it. [Wilder] on queer street, and obviously, Fury caught him in a big way, so it’s not like he can’t be shaken either,” Ken Rideout said of Wilder. “He could easily get to Wilder.”
