Ancelotti hailed as ‘best Italian coach of all time’

Real Madrid news: Fabio Capello has praised Carlo Ancelotti, stating that the Los Blancos coach is the best Italian coach of all time.

Ancelotti is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time. He guided Real Madrid to Champions League and La Liga success last season. In the process, he also became the first manager to win four Champions League titles.

Ancelotti’s first two Champions League titles as manager came with AC Milan. He won the coveted European trophy with the Italian team in the 2002/03 and 2006/07 seasons.

Ancelotti then coached Real Madrid to Champions League glory in the 2013/14 season. The Italian tactician rejoined Real Madrid for the 2021/22 season. He had a successful first season in his second spell with the Spanish team as they won the Champions League and La Liga titles.

Speaking after Real Madrid began their 22/23 Champions League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Celtic, Capello praised Ancelotti. “The best Italian coach of all time is Ancelotti,” Capello said on Sky Sport Italia.

“Madrid played a fantastic game,” Capello said of the defending champions’ performance against Celtic.

Real Madrid scored the three goals of the game after a goalless first half. Vinicius Jr broke the tie in the 56th minute before Luka Modric made it 2-0 on the hour mark.

Eden Hazard, who came on from the bench to replace Karim Benzema in the 30th minute, scored Real Madrid’s third in the 77th minute.

For its part, Real Madrid have had a stellar start to the 22/23 season. They started the season by defeating Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup final. David Alaba and Karim Benzema scored goals in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win.

Real Madrid then began their defense of the La Liga title and have won all four games they have played so far in the Spanish top flight this season. Ancelotti’s side defeated Almería 2-1 in their first game before posting a 4-1 victory over Celta de Vigo in their second match.

Real Madrid defeated Espanyol 3-1 in their next game. They posted four wins in a row in the league this season when they inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Real Betis.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid host RCD Mallorca in their next match in the Spanish top flight.
