Allegri urges Juventus to respect Cremonese and reveals why

Max Allegri has urged Juventus to play Cremonese with a lot of respect as the two clubs prepare to meet in the Serie A restart this week.

Max Allegri’s men come into the game on the back of a six-game winning streak in the league and will want to start the new year with a win.

Cremonese are struggling to stay on their feet after their promotion last season and they will want to win their first game of the year to get off to a good start.

Allegri does not want to belittle them and has asked for the best of his players in the duel. He said via Football Italia:

“Tomorrow we face a tough team after a 52-day break.

“Cremonese did not conceded any goals in the last home games. They are fifth in Serie A in shots on goal, they are aggressive, so we have to have respect and be humble.

“I am curious to see the approach, it will make a difference, we must be in the right frame of mind after a 52-day break. It is the second part of the season, the decisive one. You have to have illusion, desire and responsibility. It’s part of the job. Otherwise it would be too flat.”

Juve FC says

Allegri has been an accomplished coach and knows that it is dangerous to underestimate any opponent, which is what he wants his players to avoid in this game.

If we lose or lose points, it will affect our morale ahead of the more difficult encounters we will face in the coming weeks.
