Allegri responds to report players were against the retreatJuvefc.com

Max Allegri has responded to reports that some Juventus players did not want to attend his retirement.

The Bianconeri are camped out at the club until after their game against Torino this weekend.

The players were allowed to return home after landing from Israel. However, they were required to come back prepared to stay until after the derby at the weekend.

Some reports yesterday claimed that the team was divided on the need for the recall. But Allegri has explained that no one disagreed with the plan.

He said through Football Italia:

“It is absolutely not true that someone refused to come.

“The team has never asked not to withdraw from training and it was a punishment. we came back [from Israel] on Wednesday at 6 pm and we trained right away. The next morning we were in the field at 10 in the morning.

“We are focused on how to end this situation, the only way to do it is to get a result.”

Juve FC says

We are in poor shape now and unity will be important to get the team back into better shape.

A house divided against itself cannot stand and retreat would be a disaster if some players don’t want it.

He needs to beat Torino and if that helps them do that, they shouldn’t turn him down.
