Allegri offers reassuring updates on the condition of Filip Kostic

On Sunday, Juventus put on what was arguably their best performance of 2022, which came in their last competitive match of the year.

The Bianconeri thrashed visiting Lazio with three unanswered goals. Moise Kean got a personal double, while Arkadiusz Milik added the third.

But as is often the case this season, the match saw one of our players walk off the pitch after taking a knock.

This time it was Filip Kostic, an absolutely vital player for the club in recent weeks.

The Serb’s fabulous control and shooting paved the way for Kean to score off an easy rebound. However, he asked to leave the pitch in the second half after suffering physical discomfort.

Fortunately for Kostic, who should join the Serbian national team before the World Cup, it seems that his condition is not serious, as explained by his coach Max Allegri.

“Kostic had a problem with his flexor because he played a lot,” the Juventus manager said after the match via JuventusNews24.

“Tonight he played an extraordinary match. We will meet him again when the World Cup is over.”

While the winger should be fit in time for Qatar 2022, Serbia are also hoping to get Dusan Vlahovic back. The striker has been out due to a groin problem that has sidelined him in recent weeks.
